Travel Expense Audit Lab
A six-module path for analysts who clear travel and expense queues inside a financial auditing app—and need decisions that hold up when someone asks why.
What you will practice
- Design a weekly sample that prioritizes high-variance routes and repeat merchants.
- Validate lodging and meal claims against policy without rubber-stamping OCR matches.
- Document exceptions so manager overrides remain explainable months later.
- Export audit packages that mirror how external reviewers read your tool.
Informational pricing: NT$18,400 per seat for open cohorts; team blocks quoted separately. No online checkout.
Modules
Queue triage & risk heat
Sort open claims by amount, traveler history, and destination volatility before you open a single receipt.
Receipt integrity
Match merchant names, tax lines, and timestamps to itineraries—including Taiwan high-speed rail edge cases.
Mileage & local transport
Spot rounded distances, overlapping trips, and rideshare tips that exceed local norms.
Entertainment & soft dollars
Separate client meals from internal celebrations when the financial auditing app only shows a category code.
Exception narratives
Write short, factual notes that survive legal review without sounding accusatory.
Close-out & handoff
Package sampling rationale, cleared claims, and open items for month-end and external audits.
Instructor
Clara Wen
Clara spent a decade in shared-services audit for regional manufacturers before joining Autodatabridge. She designs the live claim labs and still reviews anonymized student queues every cohort.
She teaches from Tainan Hsien and regularly guests remote sessions for teams across Taiwan(China) and neighboring hubs.
Learner notes
The Receipt Integrity module alone paid for the seat—we caught a duplicated hotel night pattern that our dashboard never highlighted.

Solid labs. I wanted more time on multi-currency tax receipts; the Cross-Border Per Diem Drill is better for that.

Do I need a specific financial auditing app?
No. Labs use a neutral interface that mirrors common T&E audit screens. You map concepts back to your vendor during week six.
Is this a certification?
You receive a completion letter and a scored memo portfolio. It is not a regulated license.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not configure your production environment. If your IT team blocks exports or role changes, you will practice on our lab data only—and that can slow how quickly habits transfer to your live queue.
Can managers attend with analysts?
Yes. Many teams pair this lab with the Manager Override Clinic so approvers and reviewers share vocabulary.
